Veerender Jubbal ha denunciat a través de Twitter que se l'ha relacionat amb l'autoria dels atacs de París arran d'una imatge seva manipulada. El noi, un sikh, explica a la xarxa social que diversos mitjans espanyols, com La Razón o Antena 3, han fet servir la seva fotografia, assenyalant-lo com un dels terroristes dels atemptats. Jubbal aclareix que mai ha estat a París i que la foto que ha aparegut a la premsa i la televisió està retocada amb Photoshop -van transformar el seu iPad amb un Alcorà.
